A band most of you will know is Pendulum, an award winning band who are revolutionary in the world of dance bands. Well two of the members of Pendulum - Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen - created a nice little side project Knife Party. Perhaps little was the wrong word to use there as these guys have been kicking it up. Off the back of a massive collaboration with Swedish House Mafia, Antidote, and a string of killer remixes, including one for their swedish co-writers Save The World. If you haven't heard of them by now, all is about to change.
They have just released an EP, 100% No Modern Talking, which is a free download from the link given below. The four tracks on the EP are: Internet Friends, Fire Hive, Tourniquet and Destroy Them With Lazers. Each track features an electro house style build up with dark rising leads and lush rave-inflected synth work. The core of each track is definitely heavily dubstep influenced with scintillating lazer punches and a punishing bassline. Fire Hive carries the essence of a Skrillex track but the signature sound of a Knife Party production.
