Preview: Avicii - Levels (Henrik B Remix)

Possibly the biggest tune from last year, Levels has been again transformed into an emphatic club record. The original by Avicii has got people from all over the world humming along to his emotive melody and with the sampling of the late Etta James' vocals, he made an amazing Progressive House track. However the original was not enough for Henrik B, the Spanish house maestro put his spin on this track completely, only remaning factors are the melody and sampled vocal. This edit has really changed my perspective of Henrik, I for one cannot wait until it is released, for now here he is playing it live at Globen.

Not long ago we brought you the Progressive House anthem Calling, and it was one of their best songs from last year. Well now it's creator's Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso have included Ryan Tedder in the act, completely re-inventing the original. Tedder, the singer in renowned band One Republic, has written and performed the lyrics to Calling (Lose My Mind) scintillatingly well. If you thought the instrumental version was good, you have got no idea how good this version is. Preview: Nicky Romero – Toulouse (Inc. Chocolate Puma & Tommy Trash Remixes)

One of the catchiest songs created in EDM recently has undergone a major revamp by two well known producers. The track, Toulouse originally by Dutch starlet Nicky Romero has been handed to both Chocolate Puma and Tommy Trash. With huge releases behind him such as Cascade and The End, Australian-bred Tommy Trash has completely turned this track upside down, changing a Progressive House track into an unbelievable Electro House thriller. Boasting huge bottom end progression, this particular remode has done justice to the original's catchy melody. Plus the all-in-point of this track is the glitchy style we have become accustomed to from Trash.

On the other hand, Dutch pioneer's Chocolate Puma have added an impressive deep drop at the end of some fantastic melodic build up play. DJ Zki & Dobre have excelled themselves here in superb Dutch fashion, laying the classic Dutch House sound on top of the original Progressive House anthem.

Free Download: Ävender - Amplifier (2k12)

We thought we would bring you something different, something away from our usual style of clean, melodic house music. So we brought you this Dirty House remix of Fedde Le Grand's Amplifier by Ävender. The young polish DJ/producer has not been producing very long, in fact this is his first track, it is a free download to. With an excellent glitchy big-room sound, this is a superb rework of Fedde Le Grand's original.

Release: Benceee - Piece Of Happiness

Young Hungarian DJ/producer Benceee has been creating some melodic bombs recently, with a select few being released on Beatport. His highly tuned synth sounding tracks are something that is completely different in Electronic Dance Music nowadays, very different from the norm. This time he has brought along another impressive Progressive House masterstroke, it really is a summer anthem this. It can be downloaded from Beatport after being signed by R.I.O.T Records.

Labrinth - Last Time (Knife Party Remix)

Pendulum side-project Knife Party have been creating some pioneering advances in electronic dance music recently, mixing both Electro House and Dubstep genres together, forming a sound that is unique to them. With past releases including an exceptional collaboration with Swedish House Mafia on Antidote, this pair really know how to thrill a crowd. There latest output isn’t as deep or heavy as their EP 100% No Modern Talking, having much more of an electro influence this time. I predict that there will be some big things happening for Knife Party in the future.

Preview: Gotye feat. Kimbra – Somebody That I Used To Know (Tiësto Remix)

It seems to be common to remix this song nowadays with remixes from both dBerrie and JVL being covered by us in recent weeks. This time it is the world-renowned Tiësto that is giving it a spin. As you would except with a world-beater, this release is utterly jaw-dropping and it has completely changed the way I have thought about the original. Featuring some incredible rising leads and a nice, consistent beat this track is one of my favourite's of the year - so far. Tiësto’s version of Goyte’s Somebody I Used To Know is due for release soon.

Free Download: Dirty South & Thomas Gold Feat. Kate Elsworth – Alive (Meridian Remix)

Meridian is a 22-year-old Electro House DJ/producer coming out of Belgium.
After the release of his first EP, Elsewhere on Paranoiak, and an official remix for Monarchy on 100% Records, the young producer is dropping powerful tracks left, right and centre. Getting some live DJing experience alongside Dr Kucho, Dj Mehdi, Jamaica or Adam Kesher, Meridian is now ready to turn up the style in his DJing and will blow the minds of all audience's he comes across.

Influenced by Electronic Dance heavyweights such as Eric Prydz, Afrojack and Deadmau5, Meridian produces thrilling melodies, pared alongside some incredible deep bass sounds. And he must be doing something right as he is already supported by big artists such as Muttonheads, Michael Calfan, and Monarchy. His most recent remix is of Dirty South & Thomas Gold's track Alive which features powerful vocals provided by Kate Elsworth. He has decided to release this for free to celebrate his success with recent track, Mallorca / Breakdown.
